SUMMARY:Moroccan National RoundTable within the Mediterranean Sustainable Energy Investment Forums
DESCRIPTION:In the framework of the meetMED II “Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean region” project funded by the European Union, MEDENER, in cooperation with RCREEE and the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency – AMEE are Jointly organizing “Moroccan National RoundTable within the Mediterranean Sustainable Energy Investment Forums” on October 18th, 2022 in Rabat.\nUsing the successful experience of Sustainable Energy Investment Forums in Europe as reference, meetMED II aims at establishing a series of regional/national roundtables bringing together banks, financial partners, public authorities and all stakeholders involved in delivering investments in sustainable energy in order to:\n\nMap and engage all relevant public and private stakeholders in the reference country.\nMap relevant financial tools, measures, initiatives in the reference country.\nImprove the visibility of existing public funds.\nDiscuss how to enhance the access to finance for energy efficiency projects and overcome current barriers.\nPresent good practices and innovative funding mechanisms addressed to both buildings and appliances. Discuss ways to replicate and scale up them.\nIdentify projects that could be funded thanks to the project technical assistance.\nEstablish a permanent and high-level national platform of discussion and exchange of information, experiences and good practices.\n\nIn particular, three regional roundtables will be held within the three editions of meetMED Weeks – the project’s largest annual gathering dedicated to regional EE & RE, and five in other national events. So far, the first regional roundtable ( https://meetmed.org/opening-ceremony-mediterranean-sustainable-energy-forum/ ) has taken place in March as part of meetMED Week 2022 ( https://meetmed.org/meetmed-weeks/ ), in addition to the Jordan National Roundtable ( https://meetmed.org/events/jordan-national-roundtable-within-the-mediterranean-sustainable-energy-investment-forums-argues-financing-energy-efficiency-in-building-appliances/ ) held in Amman on  June 2022.\nThe Roundtable in Morocco – MED SEI Forums, will focus primarily on national needs/challenges according to stakeholder demands.
