In the framework of the meetMED II “Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean region” project, MEDENER/ADEME, in cooperation with RCREEE and Global ABC are organizing a roundtable entitled “Towards Adaptation of the Building Sector in the Mediterranean Region” on March 7th, 2022 at Nice, France.

The roundtable, held on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Global ABC, focuses on resilient building construction in the Mediterranean context from the perspective of COP 27 that will be hosted in Egypt from 7th to 18th of November 2022.

Moreover, this roundtable is built on a dialogue between Mediterranean GlobalABC members and a strong euro Mediterranean collaboration within the meetMED project implemented by MEDENER and RCREEE and financed by European Commission joining their forces for massifying energy efficiency measures in the building and appliances sector targeting eight countries on the South and East Mediterranean Countries.

Bringing together stakeholders to share pilot projects and challenges met in the region on how to adapt construction and buildings to climate change and highlight remaining gaps to align Mediterranean building and construction sector with Paris Agreement requirements.
