The meetMED Week (MMW) is the largest annual event of the 2nd phase of the meetMED project (Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean region), funded by the European Union, which is dedicated to fostering regional cooperation for energy and climate transition in Southern Eastern Mediterranean Countries.

The second edition, was held in Marrakesh, Morocco from 09 – 11 May 2023 under the main theme “Together Towards Efficient Buildings and Appliances in the Mediterranean.”

This year, MEETMED WEEK 2023 gathered more than 250 energy experts representing officials, stakeholders, and policymakers from the Mediterranean region with the aim of promoting energy and climate transition.
The three days of high-level discissions resulted in formulating an insightful summary of takeaways messages based on the event and attendees’ experiences about the role of renewable energies and energy efficiency for the future EU- MENA cooperation.
