The Decision Support Tool, is a web-based application designed to help decision-makers and local & regional authorities in addressing the growing energy demands of buildings. With buildings accounting for approximately 30% of global energy consumption—an even higher percentage in meetMED target countries—effective energy management has never been more crucial.
Developed by PrioritEE and PrioritEE PLUS initiatives and upgraded through the meetMED project, funded by the European Union, this innovative tool enables users to quickly evaluate potential energy and financial savings by applying energy efficiency measures in public buildings. It allows users to input detailed information about their buildings. This data serves as the foundation for a series of calculations that provide valuable insights into energy consumption, losses, and onsite renewable energy production.
For context, after defining the building’s current state, users can explore 11 energy efficiency and renewable energy measures, such as upgrading insulation, transitioning to LED lighting, and integrating PV and solar hot water systems. The tool evaluates the impact of each measure individually or cumulatively, allowing users to compare the current state with potential future scenarios, analyzing energy savings, CO2 reductions, and financial impacts. The tool also features a benchmarking option, enabling users to analyze up to 10 buildings simultaneously.
Technical support is readily available through a dedicated “Contact” section, ensuring that users can navigate the tool with confidence.
Whether you are in project management, resource allocation, or strategic planning, the Decision Support Tool can enhance your decision-making process and drive better outcomes.
