Online Training on Appliances Scrapping
With the ongoing commitment of the meetMED project funded by the European Union to fostering energy efficiency measures in buildings & appliances, the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the Mediterranean Association of National Agencies for Energy Management, (MEDENER) are organizing an Online Training on Appliances Scrapping on February 28th , 2023.
The one-day online training is targeting the meetMED’ beneficiary countries (namely Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia) to have more information about the scrapping and recycling industry in the region, and to identify the potential of collection, recycling and marketing the materials from scrapped appliances. The training also focuses on the types of appliances collected, and the existing programs that may support such market.
This training is part of Activity 4.2 Professional training and capacity building that aims to enriching experts’ and public bodies’ officials’ knowledge in the energy efficiency of appliances and their implementation through professional training and dedicated tools on topics related to the testing centers, MEPS and labelling promotion for appliances and scrapping. Targeted attendees include professionals, public officers and organizations who can obtain, improve, and retain the skills, knowledge, tools, equipment, and other resources through training sessions.
